Pearls for everyday...?

Its funny, as I walk around enjoying the day, I am amazed to see how many women wear pearls and this is something I was told was not so popular these days. So the question is why?

I also hear the comments; "she looks so elegant wearing that pearl necklace" or "that pearl necklace really sets off her outfit", its the understated piece of classic jewellery.

Even this morning watching Breakfast News on the BBC, the author Christina Dalcher was wearing a classic white rice shaped pearl necklace and a pair of white pearl drop earrings! So simple, so classy!
